To record natural observations within Broom East Conservation Site. The site was a mineral quarry extraction site from 2007 until 2017. Prior to 2007 it was farmland. In June 2019: to the north of the site is arable farmland. To the east is a small amount of arable farmland and then the major corridors of the River Ivel and the A1 trunk road. To the south is arable farmland and active quarry workings. To the west is a local road and a fenced fishing lake. Beyond this is a mix of arable farmland, lakes and woodland copse. Designated a County Wildlife Site in 2017.
