Curlew Sandpiper?

Curlew Sandpiper?

Observation - Curlew Sandpiper? - UK and Ireland. Description: Wader with very clean white underparts and more or less uniform greyish upperparts. Legs black. Bill black, slightly downcurved, finer and longer than a Dunlin's. The picture with a Ringed Plover is for size comparison - the two birds were the same size.

This bird was by itself and walked methodically up and down the sandy foreshore with none of the scuttling exhibited by Dunlin and some other waders.
Apologies for the photos which were taken on a typical handheld camera and then cropped.
