Large bone at Weston Mouth

Observation - Large bone at Weston Mouth - UK and Ireland. Description: I assumed this was an unusual large bone, approx 5-6 feet in length, lying by a rock pool below cliffs on Devon's Jurassic Coast. It has been suggested it was a piece of solidified timber, but why the striking shape? In places it was well drilled by crust

I assumed this was an unusual large bone, approx 5-6 feet in length, lying by a rock pool below cliffs on Devon's Jurassic Coast. It has been suggested it was a piece of solidified timber, but why the striking shape? In places it was well drilled by crustaceans, and these revealed what appeared to be a classic bone structure. Any ideas welcome.
