Rather chunky/robust Agaricus under Taxus baccata (Yew).
Cap dull brown. covered in fine, apressed, triangular scales (pics 2 & 3).
Gills crowded, at maturity chocolate brown but with a faint reddish tinge upon close inspection (5).
Stipe whitish above the superior but quite thin ring, scaly/squamulose below (7 & 8). Base very bulbous and deeply rooted - around 2” or more into the soil!! See tell-tale dirt marks in pics 4, 5 & 6.
Cap/stem flesh white but rapidly turning rufous orange in the cap and upper stem upon cutting - but NOT strongly red (9-12)
