If Lockdown has taught me anything or given me a new favourite way to spend my time, it is working and sitting in the garden, and getting to know what lives there. The recent rain brought an army of munchers out from their hiding places in the wall crevices. If you have your own isolation story please share it here. You just need to add the descriptive rag isolation1. Click on mine (below) to see other iSpotters’ observations. See https://forum.ispotnature-approval.org/t/isolation-observations/1010

Expert opinion
Chris du Feu from the Slug Monitoring Scheme accepted my record of Arion ater agg and commented that he suspected it could be A. vulgaris but could not be sure. He also identified the other species in the photographs. A. subfucus is just visible near the large slug (pic 2). A. distinctus is in the top right corner of pic 4.
