Observation - Marsh and Willow Tit - UK and Ireland. Description: Seen like this, you wonder why they are ever hard to tell apart! The shape of the cap on the Willow, in the foreground, is very different to that of the Marsh, behind, as is the whole colour of the bird. The shape of the bibs is obviously different, too,

Seen like this, you wonder why they are ever hard to tell apart! The shape of the cap on the Willow, in the foreground, is very different to that of the Marsh, behind, as is the whole colour of the bird. The shape of the bibs is obviously different, too, on these birds (Willow on left). Both birds are adults of 3+ years...young birds can be more tricky.
