Can anyone identify this (probable) Ichneumonid?

Observation - Can anyone identify this (probable) Ichneumonid? - UK and Ireland. Description: Large (nearly 20mm) long black body with intermittent ivory stripes (2 stripes, gap, 2 more stripes)

Large (nearly 20mm) long black body with intermittent ivory stripes (2 stripes, gap, 2 more stripes), yellowish legs.. Distictive shape to abdomen, Wings of orange-tinted cellophane, redolent of wraps for assorted chocolates. Flies like a wasp so more likely ichneumon than sawfly. The second I've seen & photographed, unable to find likeness anywhere.
