There is little doubt when you find it so bright and luxurious. It grows in swathes and is at its absolute best in mid May. Here, below the Scapa Distillery it laps at the fresh burn-water which may have a hint of malt.
There is no need for microscopy when it really does look like green, bloated intestines.

As Uliva intestinaloides it is apparently UNLIKE Ulva intestinalis and may be wholly marine
