A none too common Puccinia rust gall which is the subject of difficulties in the Dictionary Drop-down.

This then is most likely Puccinia caricina but as I cannot show the alternation (with Carex) it clearly needs to remain as Genus only.
However, this is the classic morphology of Ribes uva-crispa (Gooseberry) aecial stage of Puccinia caricina. All three pictures are from the same bush.

I have found it in a different form but still on Gooseberry, so another Observation will come in the next few days.
Puccinia caricina var. pringsheimi (Kleb.) D. M. Hend. is accepted by some authorities as being the Gooseberry Puccinia but is mostly accepted as a synonym for Puccinia caricina
