No nearer the true ID but we know these are quite seasonal; some in very early Spring, others much later, from May onwards and other sorts, brown in clear jelly.
These ones appeared to the day of last year's record here https://www.ispotnature.org/communities/uk-and-ireland/view/observation/756664/the-green-blobs.
.
It is the eggs that are green, in this case, not the protective jelly.
There are usually the same size and surely must be the full production of one worm.
We have seen worms, brown and green, in close association with these blobs but still have no direct evidence for the species 'responsible'
We THINK these may be from one of the green worms - say Eulalia clavigera
http://www.aphotomarine.com/worm_green_leaf_eulalia_clavigera.html or perhaps Eulalia viridis
https://www.marlin.ac.uk/species/detail/1515
Lots of people have theories but we have seen no direct proof of which worm, though we are almost, nearly, probably certain of the Genus Eulalia..
