Pale green toadstool

Pale green toadstool

Observation - Pale green toadstool. Description: Looks like a Russula - no ring or volva, white stem about 1.5cm thick. Cream spores. Cap peeled easily to about half way. Not familiar enough with Russulas to know whether the gills are 'waxy' or 'brittle'. Caps to about 8cm across. Near to old birch

Not familiar enough with Russulas to know whether the gills are 'waxy' or 'brittle'. Caps to about 8cm across. Near to old birch stump. There were also some reddish/brownish/greenish ones nearby (but those weren't in the shade and were further from the birch stump)- could perhaps be the Charcoal Burner, but doesn't really look right.
There is a wonderful range of fungus colours here.
