Low-growing Euphrasia species restricted to a small area on top of Grassy Hill; an area of calcareous grassland. Note tiny delicate flowers with purple veins and yellow spot “throat. We always think that the flowers resemble “angels in their outline (Photo 1). According to the Wildlife Trust website “there are about 20 species of Eyebright in the UK and around 60 hybrids, which are all very similar and difficult to tell apart from each other” so it’s Genus for us!
