This was on the wall of the bank in the high street. This bright yellow gemetrid moth sometimes flies by day, when it may be mistaken for a butterfly. More usually it flies from dusk onwards and is a common visitor to moth traps and lighted windows. This moth usually has several reddish brown marks along the leading edge of the wing, but occasional plain yellow specemins my also be found.
Larval foodplant, trees such as hawthorn and blackthorn.
