A large solitary mushroom found growing in grass near the edge of a fungus-rich meadow. Hedge including hawthorn, plum and a large ash tree about 7-8m away. Cap 12cm across, probably a little more when it fully expands, with small brown scales. Gills pink, no colour change when bruised. Flesh white, flushing slightly pinkish at edges when cut. Ring superior. Smell pleasant but not really like aniseed. It seems to key out as Agaricus litoralis which I am fairly sure it isn't.
