Not very good photos I'm afraid, but this is the bee Osmia bicolor, a fairly scarce species nationally but frequent in chalk areas such as the Chilterns. The photos are of the female, which has the abdomen mostly orange. She nests in snail shells, covering the nest with piles of grass stems and small twigs to hide it. The second photo shows a bee picking up a stem, and in the third photo you can just see her orange bottom disappearing under the leaves where she was building her nest.
