Small reddish-brown decurrent fungi growing in grassland at the edge of mixed deciduous and coniferous wooded area. Cap sizes approx. 20-35mm diameter. I believe this is a Lactarius species due to milk droplets evident in one photo. Prominent colours of cap, gills & stem. I also noted very dry cap despite wet conditions. Any pointers would be appreciated.
