Observation - Mycena sp. - UK and Ireland. Description: Cap was between 1 and 2mm across, fruitbody just over 20mm tall. With the naked eye it appeared pure white. Growing on the outercasing of a large seed (the seed was a bit longer than an apple seed and much more robust). Found on the soil perhaps with moss

Cap was between 1 and 2mm across, fruitbody just over 20mm tall. With the naked eye it appeared pure white. Growing on the outercasing of a large seed (the seed was a bit longer than an apple seed and much more robust). Found on the soil perhaps with mosses under Hazel and I think a Willow species such as Goat Willow. Bulbous Bonnet (M. stylobates) has this disc at the base but I think is usually larger and more obvious.
