I think this small fish which was taken from the throat of a cod is either a dragonet or a Pogge/Hook-nose. I would appreciate others opinions, there is definitely a 'hook-nose' bony structure on the snout, however the shape of the tail and the stout shape of the body of the fish seem more like that of a Dragonet. Any images of Pogge available to view show fish with a very narrow tapering body. Whats left of the head looks more like a Dragonet to me but with some of it digested away it could be misleading. The tail is the only part with skin remaining as it was not fully ingested and the tail hadn't got down as far as the stomach acid.
