Small worm or caterpillar approx 1mm wide and 15mm long. Smooth grey/brown skin exactly like dead burberis twig. No apparent segments and no eyes or mouth parts visible although it was very small and they may just have been not very apparent. No separate head or abdomen parts. No pattern or apparent texture to skin. Legs at front (assumed from direction of travel). Four legs at other end. No legs in between.
Method of locomotion was to loop the body up drawing the hind legs up to the front legs then extend the front so that the loop collapsed and the worm was straight again. I have no picture because it vanished whilst I was attempting to focus the camera. I have attempted some sketches.
