Description: This small leaf-mine on the edge of a willow leaf (possibly Salix alba or one of its hybrids) appears to be a species of Phyllonorycter moth, but the pupal case doesn't seem to match any of the species listed for willow. This small leaf-mine on the edge of a willow leaf (possibly Salix alba or one of its hybrids) appears to be a species of Phyllonorycter moth, but the pupal case doesn't seem to match any of the species listed for willow. The pupal case was sticking out of the mine, where the moth had emerged, and there was no sign of a cocoon, nor any frass, in the mine.
