Observation - Suspected tricholoma imbricatum - UK and Ireland. Description: Cap 3-5cm, dark chestnut brown, scaly. Stem 30-50mm x 8-30mm, cream - beige - light brown, fairly fibrous (note wide variation in stem thickness). Margin inrolled. White veil covering gills observed on all specimens (removed by me before 2nd photo taken),

Cap 3-5cm, dark chestnut brown, scaly. Stem 30-50mm x 8-30mm, cream - beige - light brown, fairly fibrous (note wide variation in stem thickness). Margin inrolled. White veil covering gills observed on all specimens (removed by me before 2nd photo taken), gills same colour as stem. Umbo present in all specimens. Smell and taste mild and bland - i can only describe as slightly "mushroomy"! Spore print white. Several of them had a habit of pressing right up to their neighbour, a kind of couply habit. About 20 specimens observed on this stump.
