Found in coniferous and broad leaved woodland,the cap is orange-brown or apricot 3-6cm becoming flattened with age and slightly depressed.The gills are pallid ochraceous or buff adnate or slightly decurrent,milk white unchanging copious.The stem is pallid concolorous with cap more or less equal sometimes tapering towards the base flesh whitish stuffed becoming hollow with age.
