Images sent to Beewatch, they were unable to identify this solitary bee for me. It's much smaller than even a Carder worker bumble bee. To the eye the thorax was dark with bright orange/yellow hair, the abdomen was almost black with a fringe of orange hair that covered the underside on the abdomen. Wings folded on top on one another on the abdomen. Seemed to vibrate it's body when feeding from flowers pushing it's head down into the flower.
