Observation - Speedwell? - UK and Ireland. Description: Growing on a closely mown urban roadside bank with Rumex acetosella, Achillea millefolium and Aphanes. It looks like a speedwell (it's a pity the flower ended up out of focus and overexposed, as a good view of that would have

Growing on a closely mown urban roadside bank with Rumex acetosella, Achillea millefolium and Aphanes.

It looks like a speedwell (it's a pity the flower ended up out of focus and overexposed, as a good view of that would have settled the question), but it doesn't seem to match any species I know.

The leaves are entire as in Veronica serpyllifolia, but are not glabrous.
The flowers are a little larger and a little bluer than Veronica hederifolia lucorum. They appeared to be of uniform colour, rather than the white with blue stripes of V. serpyllifolia. The inflorescence structure also appeared wrong, but I have been fooled by young speedwell plants before (e.g. V. arvensis misidentified as V. polita).
