...but I hope someone can interpret my terrible photos and confirm which Veronica this is.

Stems radiating from central point, lax growth habit, leaves oval with a crease in the centre, stalkless: I honestly didn't look closely to see if the leaf margin was toothed or not, this was taken last year when I was only just getting interested in "weeds".

So it could possibly be Heath Speedwell (V. officinalis) which has shallowly toothed leaves, but which should be hairy/furry, and I think (but I'm not certain) that my specimen was hairless.

Heath Speedwell is described as having flowers in a dense raceme: I would not call this one dense, but I'd welcome any comments on the subject.
