A friend has asked me to identify a "plant" and has given me permission to post the photos here. This is the information she has provided at various times :

"There is a plant growing in the quarry we go shooting in when it is wet weather it looks a lot like seaweed but in dry weather it disapears completly it is even slimy and slippery like seawead I do have a couple of pics of it but can,t remember which file they are in lol please let me know if you can think of anything similar it is driving us all crazy when we try to put the targets out without stepping on it. It is a sandstone quarry in Cefn Cribbwr ( I think that,s how you spell it )"

"Hi Mike thay were taken on 24 Nov 2012* but thay are there year round from what I have seen."

*17/11/2012 per exif details

"...def looks like seawead in wet weather it has got the bulbs of fluid on the strands but in dry weather you cant find it. The grass is not cut regularly just now and again for clay pigion shoots."
