A greenish-yellow species which has a dark spot near the wing tip and black streaks on the apical veins. The apical cells are dusky.
Males typically have a red clavus and scutellum and are unmistakably in that form. However in there teneral state and as grenish/yellow adults they could be mistaken for females.
Females have a dark transverse band on the face below the eyes; 2nd to last image in this series.
I am not aware if females can also have a red clavus..?
An all greenish male can be seen in the copulating pair, aberrant forms with the red clavus can also be found, (last image)
