Observation - Sowbread, St. Lawrence, Isle of Wight. Description: This stand is naturalized in a small copse in my garden.The tubers can get very large in in their native habitat (S. Europe) I have seen them the size of dinner plates, hence the name Sowbread as they are rooted out by wild pigs! Common on the Undercliff

Common on the Undercliff of the Isle of Wight in woodland.Gorgeous plant, the flowers are produced over a long period followed by marbled leaves.
