Found in coastal grassland, in a grass meadow grazed by cattle/sheep, say 800 metres from the sea. They appear not to have eaten this plant, of which there were only 2 or 3 specimens. It is about 10cm tall, maybe because this is a very windy area. It was "frizzy", not prickly, soft to the touch, had a small main stem(s) with fine abundant "frizzy leaves" branching off. We couldn't guess what genus it would belong to or what type of plant it is.
