Observation - Nothofagus: Roble? - UK and Ireland. Description: Medium sized, stately tree: leaves alternate, bluey-green, 7-9 pairs of veins running to leaf margin. Margin was rounded, as in Rauli, but veins did not run into the sinus. However, leaves did not have the doubly dentate shape of Roble, nor were they as

Medium sized, stately tree: leaves alternate, bluey-green, 7-9 pairs of veins running to leaf margin. Margin was rounded, as in Rauli, but veins did not run into the sinus. However, leaves did not have the "doubly dentate" shape of Roble, nor were they asymetric at the base. As this is planted in a garden, it could well be an ornamental form?
