Although not found in a pond, I wonder if this strange green jelly mass found on top of a moss covered stone in my garden is possibly a similar organism to Ophrydium versatile? It appeared there about a week ago after some rather chilly weather and a lot of rain. It is still there now. The measure in picture 2 is mm.

I don’t have a microscope but having looked at it with a x30 hand lens I can tell you that there are tiny specs of green within it that I presume are algae and probably the reason it appears so green.
