Convolvulus sabatius

Convolvulus sabatius

Observation - Convolvulus sabatius - UK and Ireland. Description: This native of North Africa and Italy has had a good year and been flowering over a very long period. I know it better by its old name of C. mauritanicus. It's herbaceous stems get killed usually in winter but new growth comes from the woody rootstock.

A superb plant both for colour and longevity of flowering.
