Observation - Trough shell partially buried in sand - UK and Ireland. Description: I found this large bivalve (over an inch long) partly buried on a sandy beach in Wales with its siphons visible as a low spring tide retreated. I think it's a Trough shell, maybe Spisula solida or subtruncata. Both are recorded for the location (Rhossil

I found this large bivalve (over an inch long) partly buried on a sandy beach in Wales with its siphons visible as a low spring tide retreated. I think it's a Trough shell, maybe Spisula solida or subtruncata. Both are recorded for the location (Rhossili Bay). Can anyone confirm Spisula and if so, which species?
