Bumblebee mites

Observation - Bumblebee mites - UK and Ireland. Description: A few of these phoretic mites being carried by a Queen red-tailed bumlebee. They look nasty but aren't parasitising the bee, or causing any problems (a huge number may be a bit of a burden) they're just getting a lift to her new nest where they will live
