The intention was to observe lichens in parklands at two different locations. It will be noticed that these photos were taken on the 1/12/2011 & 10/4/2012. The first set of photos was taken in Cheetham Park, Stalybridge, Cheshire. This is approximately 8 miles east of Manchester. This park abuts the town at its northerly point at the bottom of a hill and climes up several hundred feet into the country side at its southerly point. Some of the second set was taken in Abney Hall Park, Stockport, Cheshire. This is approximately 5 miles south of Manchester. This park abuts the M60 motorway and a slip road on to it. The remainder of the second set was taken in Cheetham park to replace the original out of focus ones. The reason there is a date gap is due to the fact that the camera sustained a fault and required rectification.
The air pollution summery for Greater Manchester shows it to be high (7).
