Phylica is genus of the Rhamnaceae family. It is the 6th largest genus in the Cape Flora with 132 species, 125 endemic. They are shrublets, shrubs or small trees with ericoid, lanceolate or ovate leaves, often with revolute margins. The ovary is 3-chambered and the fruit a capsule.

The purpose of this project is to help identify the species within the genus found in this area.
