Kingfisher Trails - Wilderness
Kingfisher Trails - Wilderness - Southern Africa : The Pied Kingfisher Trail (previously called the Kingfisher Trail) is the oldest walk laid out the area.
The Pied Kingfisher Trail (previously called the Kingfisher Trail) is the oldest walk laid out the area. It includes as section along the flood-plain next to the Serpentine , and a walk along a boardwalk next to the Wilderness Lagoon.
The Giant Kingisher trail that ran along the eastern bank of the Touw River to a waterfall and rock pools has been closed due to flood damage, but the waterfall and rock pools can be reached by walking along the Half-Collared Kingfisher Trail which runs along the western bank of the Touw River, crossing the river and continuing along a boardwalk that covers the pipe-line to the waterfall.
The purpose of this project is to document the species found along these trails and in adjacent areas.
