To map the distribution of Triffid Weed in southern Africa.

Chromolaena odorata (Armstrong Weed, Camfhur Grass, Christmasbush, Chromolaena, Common Flossflower, Devil Weed, Eupatorium, Paraffienbos, Paraffin Weed, Siam Weed, Triffid Weed, usandanezwe) is an invasive weed of field crops and natural environments. On the subcontinent it is regarded as the most problematic invasive species within protected areas. It negatively affects indigenous species in southern Africa, reducing diversity. It also occurs throughout Africa in rainforests, where its inflammability carries fire into forests.
Beware when working with it - it contains carcinogenic pyrrolizidine alkaloids that are toxic to livestock if eaten, and can cause allergic reactions with regular exposure - wear appropriate safety equipment.

To add an observation to the project you dont have to do anything other than add the observation to iSpot. iSpot will collect all identified observations here.
