To highlight the estuarine plants and animals of the Mlalazi Estuary in KwaZulu-Natal. Biologically, this is one of the richest estuaries in the country. It has 40 ha of mangroves. It is well known for the mangrove kingfishers, palmnut vultures and finfoots, its mud skippers and fiddler crabs - and all this in the most scenic of settings.

This project includes any plant or animal that either lives in the estuary or whose livelihood is dependent on the estuary in any way.
