This was the second cobra found within an hour on this day (only captured the tail in a photo so not good enough for an observation). Also saw 5 other forest cobras in the same area over a period of two days in late September. The snakes appear to be active even during the hottest part of the day, although it is noted that the majority were seen lying in the shade as opposed to sunny patches during these times. Also noted that these snakes appear to prefer to take cover in thick "twiggy" areas (like if you put lots of sticks into a messy pile).
