According to John Manning, Odera in general are more-or-less stiffly erect, somewhat heath-like shrublets, Leaves opposite, spirally overlapping, Flowerheads sessile in a common cup of bracts, sometimes appearing simple, radiate with 3 or 4 rows of involucral bracts recepticle with scales which are sometimes toothed.
