A slangbos plant burnt probably a month or so previously that has been grazed by livestock. This shrub is a big problem, having invaded vast areas. The solution appears to be to burn it, let it grow during the season, then graze with cattle or sheep after the first frosts. The low quality of the grass renders the plant palatable to livestock. From Invasive to Ingested!
