Growing in a burnt area. 120-240mm tall (the majority of them under 180mm). The hairy, deeply toothed or lobed leaves were located at the base of the plant and did not creep up the stems. 1-2 deep blue flowers held high above the leaves. The sepals were hairy but the rest of the flower not noticeably so. This lobelia looks a bit like photos seen of Lobelia coronopifolia but the plants we encountered were flowering in June to early August, which, according to information read, is the wrong time of year for that species.
