One of our target species for this weekend's fieldtrip to Barberton was Rhynchosia rogersii, classified Vulnerable on the Red List. When I was preparing identification support materials for our target species, I could not get hold of the description (published after the last revision of Rhynchosia ... from 1923), so all I had to go on was the scan of the type specimen on JSTOR Plant Science. Curiously, the type specimen was filed under Rhynchosia angulosa. The two look rather similar, except for R. rogersii's leaves appearing to be somewhat narrower, but not having the description, I do not know what exactly to look for. The Plant List has the name as unresolved. Is this a case of dubiously distinct, but not yet formally sunk?
