I am hazarding a guess here, and I forgot to suck the seed and photograph it. The west Coast guide describes Ruschia tumidula as a rounded shrublet with long narrow leaves recurved at the tips flowers in flat topped clusters at the ends of the branches white to magenta. Flowering in deep coastal sands. - This is where we go wrong. Above Llandudno there are lots of them on the mountain out in bloom now, but they are hardly on deep coastal sands. Also the ones photographed, although by the coast are not in sandy soil.
