iSpot Marine Week Bioblitz

The first competition was run for the duration of Marine Week (6-12 October)
where the object was to photograph and upload as many observations as possible during this week.

iSpotters managed to get a total of 219 observations up onto iSpot during marine week and the winner of the Marine Week Bioblitz by just 9 observations was:

Celebrate our Seas

The second competition ran for the entire month of October where the point was to upload as many observations of marine organisms as possible. Observations could be of any marine species and from anytime and anywhere in South Africa as long as they are uploaded onto iSpot during the month of October. Over 2100 observations were added which is fantastic and the winner was:

* Peter Southwood who contributed over half of these! Congratulations Peter.
The runner-up was again Rowan Watt-Pringle who must be recognized for his valuable contributions to this competition and to the SeaKeys project as a whole.

Thank-you to all those who participated to this competition and those who continue to contribute to the SeaKeys projects, your uploads are invaluable to the project!
