L. bulbiferum has erect tepals about 6cm long and some references say there are black dots on the inner tepals, but that is not apparent here. The stamens are erect and the anthers reddish-brown. The leaves are alternate and lanceolate.
This orange lily sometimes has bulbils in the leaf axils, as here. This was called L. bulbiferum s. str., while the form without bulbils was called L. bulbiferum subsp croceum. However, all are now classed as L. bulbiferum.
