Observation - Mottled Bolete (Leccinum variicolor). Description: Found under Betula. Sooty grey, scaly cap. Pale irregular pores that bruised grey. Stem covered in a net work of black/brown spots. Green/blue stem base. Flesh flushed pale pink when cut. Pinkish brown spores, spindle shaped 13- 20 x 5.5-6 microns.
