Large Skippers abundant on the Hills; usually very skittish and rather accustomed to lots of blurry shots. We managed to photograph one individual resting on fireweed stem (Photo 1) and second individual (Photos 2-7) was more interested in nectaring on thistle along the mineral line. Note chequered pattern of the wings and hooked antennae (Photo 1) - these are both males given dark diagonal line (sex brand) on each of the forewings.
