Description:

Small population and a about 8 plants died, one on its way. Generally good fynbos, but these plants are surrounded by Port Jackson in due decline due to bio control. Very concerned about the Ld it is on the redlist and plants remaining in Mossel Bay have suffered hugely due to road verge management (Louis Fourie rd and Aalwyndal). Any pointers or first aid... please?

Description:

Can't quite figure this one out. Fruits say definitely section Leucadendron but from there I get confused. It looks like a type of galpinii but as far as I know they don't occur here. This was only one I saw and it was single-stemmed. See also the comparison with coniferum which is all over the place. Hope DrT can rescue me.....
